Paris '70 / Rock Of The Seventies
Paranoid, Hand Of Doom, Rat Salad, Iron Man, Black Sabbath, N.I.B, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, War Pigs, Fairies Wear Boots. Plus stage set up and backstage footage!
That’s what we get with the band’s first full length concert program. It wouldn't be Black Sabbath without some controversy. This show is either from December 19th 1970 L'Olympia Theater in Paris, France. Or December 3rd 1970 in Brussels, Belgium at the Theatre 140.
9-?-1975 Civic Center, Santa Monica, CA on ABC‘s DON KIRSHNER'S ROCK CONCERT
It was either September the 4th or 5th of 1975 and the Sabotage tour was in full swing.
The band showed their master craftsmanship as they thundered through Killing Yourself To Live, Hole In The Sky, Snowblind, War Pigs, and Paranoid. Copies are sourced from a TV program on French TV's Channel ‘Jimmy’.
Ronnie James Dio Years Part 1;
10-17-1980 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY AKA Black N Blue
Filmed for a feature named after the tour. Both bands shared equal time on this program for 'After Midnite' specials at drive in movie theaters.
War Pigs, Neon Knights, N.I.B, Iron Man, Tony Iommi’s Guitar Solo (includes Orchid), Paranoid, Heaven And Hell, and Die Young. Sourced from a short Southern American DVD release.
1-19-1981 Hammersmith Odeon, London, England
War Pigs. Neon Knights, N.I.B., Children Of The Sea, Sweet Leaf, Lady Evil, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Iron Man, Die Young, and of course Paranoid. Filmed right of center from the balcony. So we see with an unobstructed view of the entire stage. Some might look at the quality as being crap. But for a film surviving almost 35 years it’s remarkable.
1-2-1982 Hammersmith Odeon, London, England
This audience film is not as good as the 1981 film in many regards. It’s very incomplete with a lot of cuts during the songs. Heaven And Hell suffers the most as it’s missing except for the tail end on Paranoid. The band mastered through: Neon Knights, N.I.B, Children Of The Sea, Country Girl, Black Sabbath, War Pigs, Slipping Away, Iron Man, The Mob Rules, Paranoid, and Voodoo. This is an excellent fan authored DVD that contains two additional audio tracks. One in Dolby 2.0 and the other in 4.1 surround sound. Or you can listen through the awful original camera audio. For the remastered sound it utilized: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 3-15-1982; Neon Knights, N.I.B., Children Of The Sea, and Black Sabbath. Hammersmith Odeon, London, England 12-31-1981; Country Girl. City Hall, Newcastle, U.K. 1-7-1982; War Pigs, Slipping Away, Iron Man, The Mob Rules, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid, and Voodoo.
1982 Unreleased Live Evil footage
Filmed for the never released Live Evil concert VHS. This 30 minutes is all that is available.
A copy of this was sold to an unnamed Sabbath collector. The same two reels on VHS were later sold for over $700 to another collector. These two reels have emerged for this source.

10-21-1983 Montreal Forum, Montreal Quebec, Canada
Children Of The Grave (Starts during first verse), Hot Line, War Pigs, Disturbing The Priest, Supernaut, Rock ‘N’ Roll Doctor, Iron Man, Zero The Hero, Heaven And Hell, Digital Bitch, Black Sabbath, Smoke On The Water, and once again the hit Paranoid. Shot from the center of the top balcony. This has three major selling points. No obstructions at all. It’s the complete show. Minus the first few moments. And the camera is on a stand so the video is very still. The negative aspects are its kind of dark without any good close ups. The color is faded out and bleak. The audio is good but not stellar. Still quite listenable and the audience noise is low.

The band going into the hotel & Glenn
Hughes signing autographs.
Good audience film of complete show. This was filmed from the top balcony on the right. Unobstructed view of the band without any high detail close-up's. Kinda dark picture with a good sound. Not perfect but the only known live footage with Glenn. Get this especially for the after show footage.
4-1-1986 Montreal Forum, Montreal Quebec, Canada
The Mob Rules, Children Of The Sea, Danger Zone, War Pigs, Heart Like A Wheel, (Medley: Symptom Of The Universe, Sweet Leaf, Zero The Hero, Sphinx, Seventh Star), Children Of The Grave, No Stranger To Love, Turn To Stone, Black Sabbath, Neon Knights, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
About the same audio/video quality as Detroit. Shot from a balcony at the back of the venue. Only footage live with Ray Gillen in trading.

11-22-1987 Pink Palace in Essen, Germany
Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, War Pigs, Die Young, Iron Man, Born To Lose, Black Sabbath, Glory Ride, Heaven And Hell, Children Of The Grave, The Shining, Paranoid.
This is the only video recording from the Eternal Idol tour. There was rumors that a show from the South African/Sun City tour was video taped, but nothing has yet surfaced. This audience film was filmed from a stationary camera stand near the back of the venue. The angle is more to right-side of the stage. You can see the band from the waist up as the audience heads and hands block the shot from the waist down. The filmer wasn't able to zoom in to give us any real close up shots of the band members. It's not a bad video and is very watchable.
6-9-1989 Tower Theater, Upper Darby, PA
Headless Cross, Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Call Of The Wild, The Mob Rules, When Death Calls, War Pigs, Die Young, Black Sabbath, Devil & Daughter, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
This is shot from within the crowd I'd say 100 or so feet from the band. The camera is about even with the center of the stage. This is a very good show to have. Kinda hard to find but with Call Of The Wild and Devil and Daughter on it it's a well sought after show. Only downfall is that the filmer didn't do a great job filming this. Camera keeps getting behind the crowd's back. Perhaps dodging security or something. But the shots it does get are pretty clear. You can see the band's member's faces a lot of the time. The overall picture has very little noise or static. And sound wise it's superb for a 1989 audience film. Tony Martin has a real active stage presence here. And his voice hits the high notes very convincingly.
6-14-1989 The Agora Ballroom, Cleveland, OH
Headless Cross, Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, The Mob Rules, When Death Calls, War Pigs, Die Young, Black Sabbath, Devil & Daughter, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
A decently quality show recorded from a balcony. Clear shot of the stage and sounds really great. Downside is the color is too blue and blurry. But has Devil And Daughter which this is one of only two known films of Sabbath performing the song.
10-21-1989 Nagoya Kinrokaikan, Nagoya, Japan
Headless Cross, Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Guitar Solo, Die Young, When Death Calls, War Pigs, The Shining, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
This show is shot crookedly from a balcony without the greatest of sound quality. Blurry and the color is off slightly.

Headless Cross, Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, When Death Calls, War Pigs, Die Young, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
These are pro-shot and are in absolutely great quality. There is the rumor that Mob Rules, The Shinning, Devil and Daughter, and Call Of The Wild were performed and filmed at these shows. These copies were made from Cozy's Collection as they are perhaps these are the versions edited for Russian TV broadcast.
10-26-1990 Solnahallen Stockholm, Sweden
Neon Knights, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Die Young, The Sabbath Stones, Heart Like A Wheel, Headless Cross, When Death Calls, The Law Maker, Anno Mundi, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
Kinda shaky and is a shot wide.
11-1-1990 Jaap Eden Hall Amsterdam, Holland
Neon Knights, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Die Young, The Sabbath Stones, Heart Like A Wheel, Headless Cross, When Death Calls, The Law Maker, Anno Mundi, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Paranoid.
Shot from the back of the venue and is in kinda good quality. But the power of the show overdoes the less than great quality. And is the most common of all TYR dvds.

6-22-1992 Maksoud Plaza, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Press conference before the first
show. Filmed with a regular home video camera.
6-30-1992 Canecao, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
The Mob Rules, Children Of The Sea, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid.
Here's another that was shot for TV uses. This show begins with trouble. Mob Rules lacks vocals and drums at the beginning. Through out the film I get a sense of a lack of energy. Also when filming this they could have went easy on the tight close ups. It feels like your face is pressed to the TV screen. The film doesn't have much noise in the shots but the blues and reds are dominating.
7-24-1992 Sunrise Musical Theater, Sunrise FL
The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Black Sabbath, TV Crimes, Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead), Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid.
Excellent shot from the left of the balcony.
9-12-1992 Arena Del Chionso, Reggio Emilia, Italy (extended proshot version)
Computer God, Children of the Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead), Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell.
This is an extremely rare alt PRO version. The songs After All and Master Of Insanity are on this version.
9-15-1992 Metal Express, Elysée-Montmarte, Paris, France
Interview with Dio between live footage of: Children Of The Sea, Neon Knights, Paranoid, and The Mob Rules. From French TV's “Metal Express”. A very nice piece to have in your collection. Perhaps the best proshot live footage of 1992!
9-16-1992 Forest National Park, Brussels, Belgium
The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead), Iron Man, Heaven And Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid.
An OK audience film from the back center of the venue.
11-13-1992 Henry J. Kaiser Auditorium, Oakland, CA
The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children of the Sea, Time Machine, War Pigs, I, Die Young, Black Sabbath, Master Of Insanity, After All (The Dead), Iron Man, Heaven and Hell, Neon Knights, Paranoid.
11-15-1992 Pacific Amphitheater, Costa Mesa, CA W/ Rob Halford
The Mob Rules, Computer God, Children Of The Sea, Symptom Of The Universe, N.I.B., Die Young, Into The Void, Heaven And Hell, Supernaut, and Neon Knights.
Filmed from rear bleachers/balcony slightly towards the left of center. The camera definition is high enough you can follow the action on stage within reason. But it is shadowed by the fact the camera work is so wobbly. And a large amount of the coloring being washed away. Contains a listenable audio you can deal with.
11-15-1992 MTV Un-cut Raw Footage includes on stage with Ozzy and Halford,
different interviews with Ozzy, Halford, Iommi, Appice, Ward, Butler.
54 minutes of unedited pro-shot stock footage for MTV. From the looks of it just one MTV camera was filming this event. It starts with some shots of the audience. Then the opening of Ozzy’s solo concert. The curtain falls and we get a complete clip of Paranoid, Fragments of: I Don't Wanna Change The World, Bark At The Moon, and Mama I'm Coming Home. Into The Void being the only song with Rob included. It's even incomplete at that. Filmed in the front pit and the cameras are very tight on them throughout. Sometimes it's like Rob and the guys have their faces press to your screen! Then we have a back stage interview with Halford, Iommi, Butler, and Appice. Which Bill Ward stops by.
Then we get a crew pit view of only the song Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath. From there the camera joins the backstage celebration. Iommi, Halford, Butler, Appice, Ward, and Osbourne all pose for pictures and give some brief answers to questions. It goes on to feature a sit down interview with Ozzy and Bill.

Shot close to the band with real clear audio and video. But has hands/heads in a lot of the shots.

A very good audience film from the back of the venue. With a good clear shot of the band and near soundboard sounding. Has some decent close ups too.

Time Machine, Children Of The Grave, Children Of The Sea, I Witness, The Mob Rules, Into The Void, When Death Calls, Black Sabbath, Neon Knights, The Wizard, Cross Of Thorns, Symptom Of The Universe, Headless Cross, Paranoid, Iron Man, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
The Milano film was shot head to toe wide from a left, lower balcony. The picture is just a little fuzzy from time to time. But overall the film is very watchable.
5-26-1994 BA Zelt, Vienna, Austria
Time Machine, Children Of The Grave, Children Of The Sea, I Witness, The Mob Rules, Into The Void, When Death Calls, Black Sabbath, Neon Knights, The Wizard, Cross Of Thorns, Symptom Of The Universe, Headless Cross, Paranoid, Iron Man, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Shot from the back of the venue. You see the band from the waist up unobstructed. Tony sounds real good singing When Death Calls. One of the aspects of the Austria film is the fact it didn't come into wide trading till 2007.
8-27-1994 Estádio do Pacaembú (Pacaembu Stadium) Sao Paulo, Brazil
Time Machine, Children Of The Sea, Black Sabbath (half cut out), War Pigs, Paranoid, Headless Cross, Iron Man, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Other than being, Paranoid appears one song earlier than it was performed. It’s a somewhat good quality show. Damaged by the fact it comes from a VCR tape of the broadcast. It looks better if you adjust the settings on your TV. On the audio side the only real flaw comes just at the beginning of the show. That being Geoff's keyboards and backup vocals are louder than the rest of the band. Now Tony Martin's on stage performance is stellar. He really seemed to enjoy this show. Bill Ward also had a good time I believe.
9-1-1994 Centro Cultural Estación, Santiago, Chile
Time Machine, Children Of The Grave, Children Of The Sea, I Witness, Into The Void, Black Sabbath, Neon Knights, War Pigs, The Wizard, Cross Of Thorns, Symptom Of The Universe, Headless Cross, Paranoid, Iron Man, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

Children Of The Grave, Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Get A Grip, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, When Death Calls, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Can't Get Close Enough, War Pigs, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Iron Man, and Paranoid.

Children Of The Grave, Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Kiss Of Death, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, When Death Calls, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Can't Get Close Enough, War Pigs, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Iron Man, and Paranoid.
This audience film looks strange. As in someone took the film that's shot in standard format and stretched it to wide screen.
10-25-1995 Sporthallen Umea, Sweden
Children Of The Grave, Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Get A Grip, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, When Death Calls, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Can't Get Close Enough, War Pigs, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Iron Man, and Paranoid.

War Pigs (cut in middle), Into The Void, Sweet Leaf, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave (fragments), Black Sabbath (fragment), Fairies Wear Boots (starts near beginning, ends at guitar solo), and Paranoid (sound cuts out).
Live footage last about thirty eight minutes. The actual visual/audio quality is good. MTV filmed the band’s performance at the Alamodome. Altogether three cameras filmed the concert. One at the back of the venue which you can see the band from the knees up unobstructed. Then you have two cameras located in the pit area in front of the stage. Also filmed was an after show interview with Ozzy, Tony, and Geezer. This night was mainly shot for MTV stock footage.

War Pigs, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, Electric Funeral, Sweet Leaf, Spiral Architect, Into The Void, Snowblind, Orchid, Lord Of This World, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Dirty Women, Black Sabbath, and Iron Man.
Shot wide from Tony’s side. With Geezer, Ozzy, and Tony in view mostly. The film has some real nice close ups of Ozzy.
12-5-1997 Birmingham NEC, Birmingham, England
Into The Void, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (incomplete), Dirty Women, Black Sabbath, and crowd/fan footage.
The concert was shot from the floor just a little over to the side of Tony. There are some heads and hands in the shot but it doesn’t detract worth mentioning. The band is without obstruction from the knees up. Clear audio ad video quality .

War Pigs, Bassically, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, Snowblind, Into The Void, Spiral Architect, Lord Of This World, Sweet Leaf, Electric Funeral, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, Embryo, Children Of The Grave, and Paranoid.

War Pigs, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, After Forever, Electric Funeral, Sweet Leaf, Into The Void, Snowblind, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Supernaut (intro), and Paranoid.

War Pigs, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, Into The Void, Black Sabbath, Snowblind, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (intro), Paranoid.
The camera is at the back of the venue sorta between Ozzy and Tony. The filmer did a good balance of shots between the band and the overhead projection screens. In a majestic view you can see from the monitors up non obstructed. And their camera caught a near soundboard quality audio.

Shot from center of the balcony. Looks like it was filmed on a tripod too. It pretty much keeps the whole band in the shot. I'll give the visual an A while the audio an A- grade. A chapter-ed and menu-ed DVD of the first '12' reunion.

A chapter-ed and menu-ed DVD of a multi-audience camera film. Which I give an A+ grade as fan produced films go. According to the DVD the audio is a separate capture.

Ronnie James Dio Years Part 1;
Ian Gillan Year
10-21-1983 Montreal Forum, Montreal Quebec, Canada

Shot within the crowd near the stage. With a little bit of hands and heads in the way. You can see the band from the waist up clearly and has some good close ups.

Children of the Grave, Neon Knights, The Shining, The Wizard, Get a Grip, Headless Cross, Rusty Angels, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Can't Get Close Enough, War Pigs, The Mob Rules, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, Iron Man, and Paranoid.
Captured from TV broadcast via VHS. With a menu and chapter selection. Audio and video is really good and clear. It deserves a solid A grade.
9-18-1995 Rolling Stone, Milano, Italy

This one was shot on Iommi’s side and the camera moves from seeing the whole band to closeups. Most noted is the amazing filming of the song Kiss Of Death.

The story goes around that it was shot from a tree. From the cameras position that would make sense. You can see the whole band from the ankles up. With some decent close ups.

War Pigs, Bassically, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, After Forever, Electric Funeral, Sweet Leaf, Into The Void, Snowblind, Dirty Women, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, and Children Of The Grave.
Paranoid wasn't filmed I've been told. Shot within the crowd kind of far off. But has a very clear picture and moves from shots of the band to closeups. One of the best audience filmed DVDs I've ever seen!

8-31-2004 Alltel Pavilion, Walnut Creek, Raleigh, NC
War Pigs, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, Into The Void, Black Sabbath, Snowblind, Iron Man, Children Of The Grave, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (intro), Paranoid.
The camera is at the back of the venue sorta between Ozzy and Tony. The filmer did a good balance of shots between the band and the overhead projection screens. In a majestic view you can see from the monitors up non obstructed. And their camera caught a near soundboard quality audio.
